Yoga School
At the Barefoot Studio Yoga School, we are in our 9th year of training future yoga teachers and individuals who want to focus on expanding their own yoga practice. Whether you plan to become a Yoga Alliance RYT® (registered yoga teacher) or focus on using the lessons to transform your life, our highly skilled experts will guide you on your personal journey.
We offer Yoga Alliance-certified 200- and 300-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®) training programs in two formats. Choose a two-month immersion or a condensed one-month immersion. In all of our programs, we cover Yogic philosophy, anatomy, scientific support, practical application, and physical practice.
In addition, we are here for you after you complete your training! We offer CEU (continuing education unit)-eligible workshops throughout the year.
Learn more about individual RYT programs here, and visit the Events & Workshops page for upcoming CEU-eligible workshops and classes.
200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
The Barefoot Studio Yoga School 200-hour teacher training meets and exceeds all requirements of a Yoga Alliance Certified program. Students perform in-depth practice and study of over 300 asana; teaching methods; anatomy and physiology; and Yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics. From Pranayama/breath to Vinyasa/flow, to Yin and restorative practice, students are expertly guided to new levels of understanding from which they may safely and confidently continue their Yogic journey while imparting knowledge to others.
300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
In the 300-hour YTT program, we explore physical and breathing practices from an intermediate to advanced level – beyond that presented in a 200 RYS program. In addition, we study Mantra, trataka, Nada, Japa, and Njana meditation methods. Upon completion of this intensive, students are equipped to practically interweave knowledge and practice in these areas to cleanse, balance, and energize the body through the seven primary chakras.
