Join Melissa for this 2 hour workshop where she will share information on how and why yoga promotes healthy aging, guide you through yoga poses and other practices that will serve you today and in the long run.*
Physical: Learn about expected range of motion for joints and practice improving strength, flexibility, agility, & balance with targeted movement at the wall, in chairs, and on the mat
Mental: Learn how yoga can improve concentration & brain function and practice activating right and left sides of the brain
Emotional: Learn & practice systematic relaxation techniques that reduce stress responses, improve mood, and encourage a positive outlook.
*Workshop content is designed for adults who can stand unaided and does not include information about yoga as therapy for specific medical conditions.
